Dozens of broccoli cheese soup recipes were sent for Bernie Cook, Shorewood, who requested a recipe that was printed in a newspaper "about a decade ago." Karen Garrison, New Berlin, wrote: "As soon as I read Bernie Cook's request for broccoli cheese soup, I knew I had that recipe. It was in the Parade Section on January 16, 1994. My family and friends love this recipe since it is not a heavy cheese soup."

Working with Dietitian Key to Avoiding Nutritional Problems

If a child is diagnosed with more than two food allergies, studies show they can become nutritionally deficient, which can affect their growth and development, noted Mary Beth Preston, pediatric dietitian for the Asthma and Allergy Center at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. That's why it's important for these families to consult with a dietitian.
