Review; Consider Yourself Lucky If You Roll Past This One

Pretzels aren't born twisted, they are shaped that way. And the pretzel logic of "Lucky Number Slevin" has been manufactured in the image of a variety of fondly familiar hardboiled templates. You'll recognize the ear-tickling doubletalk of "The Usual Suspects," the tail-chasing deception of "Memento" and kinetic brutishness of British gangster films like "Snatch" and "Layer Cake." But the rug-pulling, who's-scamming-who-and-why; nobody-is- who-they-seem-to-be; and wrong-man contrivances of th...

Movies; Pack Mentality; Eckhart Lights Up Smoking' Satire

We are all the heroes of our own life stories. So it is not surprising that Nick Naylor seems like a pretty nice guy, since "Thank You for Smoking" is told from his perspective. Dining with Dennis R. Getto; a Gem of an Indian Restaurant; Delhi Cafe Delivers Both Familiarand Exotic

If you like eating Indian food and tasting new dishes, grab a pair of scissors and cut out this review. Then plan a visit to Delhi Caf. Opened in January and housed in the former home of the old Pitch's 113 Club in Wauwatosa, the 80-seat, casual caf offers the chance to try dishes that you won't find at other Indian restaurants in town. For me, that meant tasting my first shrimp chat ($8.95) as an appetizer, Bombay lamb ($12.95) as an entree and raj darbari paratha ($2.50) as a go-along flatb...
