Summerfest Medley; Lineup Should Make Everyone Feel Welcome

Unlike some of its more venerable cousins, Summerfest has always been a potluck party. Newport has its jazz and folk festivals. The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival celebrates that great city's cultural legacy. But Summerfest plays no musical favorites. Jazzers, rockers, folkies, rappers, popsters, outlanders and good ol' boys are all welcome.

"Password" with celebrities is a pretty good idea. An all-star "Apprentice" -- leaving aside the question of whether newspaper gossips and professional reality show contestants rise to the level of stars -- is a decent concept for a series, too. But "Celebrity Family Feud" -- in theory, at least -- is genius. Who doesn't like a star-studded throwdown, whether it's The Donald vs. The Rosie, Dr. Drew vs. Tom Cruise, or Kim Cattrall vs. Everybody Else in the TV Show and/or The Movie?
