Lambert, who would be the 17th coach in Admirals history, spent one season as an assistant under Noel. Noel was recently hired as an assistant coach for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League. Milwaukee was 41-25-4-10 last season, finishing third in the American Hockey League's West Division before being swept by the Chicago Wolves in the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs.
