A state legislative committee on Wednesday killed a bill that called for an end to the practice of paying Milwaukee police officers after they've been fired.
The Assembly Committee on Corrections and the Courts voted 6-3 to defeat the bill. All the Democrats present voted for it and all Republicans voted against it, according to the chairman, Rep. Garey Bies, (R-Sister Bay).See the full content of this document
