The Arrowhead wrestling team enjoyed the most successful WIAA sectional performance of any area team Saturday, sending an area- best seven qualifiers to the state meet next Thursday through Saturday at the Kohl Center in Madison.

Arrowhead stormed to victory in the Kettle Moraine Sectional in Wales, scoring 152 points to runner-up Brookfield East's total of 83.5.

Six Arrowhead wrestlers won their weight classes. At 112 pounds, Andrew Zwirlein (41-3 overall) pinned Waukesha West's Cody Kieliszewski in 1:37 in the championship match, avenging a loss to Kieliszewski in the regional last week.

At 125, Arrowhead's Arik Yde (38-9) beat Matt Bell of Brookfield East, 7-6. At 130, Nick Hucke (45-0) pinned Rafael Garnica of Waukesha North in 1:47. Clinton Orsini (33-11) advanced at 145 with a 6-0 victory over Rob Knavel of Brookfield East. At 171, Eric Herbert (35-13) beat Brian Fillmore of Oconomowoc, 5-0. And at 189, Josh Antonneau (41-4) won by technical fall over Eric Yanasak of Brookfield Central, 16-1.

Among the other weight-class winners at Kettle Moraine were Brian Dentino (40-3) of Brookfield East at 103 pounds, Casey Powell (42- 1) of Waukesha North at 112, Wauwatosa West / East's Nick Morin (36- 4) at 152 pounds, Watertown's Joe DeCono (41-2) at 160 and Andy Adyniec (36-3) of Waukesha West at 285.
