A recent report by a Greater Milwaukee Committee task force points to the need to shore up cultural and arts groups in southeastern Wisconsin and to develop a coherent regional strategy that will keep core groups afloat. A "Creative Community Summit" suggested in the report for some time early in 2009 would be a good first step in developing such a strategy and deserves widespread support.
