Manitowoc Steven Avery was charged with the murder of Teresa Halbach on Tuesday, and for the first time authorities said DNA from the charred human remains found on Avery's property matches DNA found in blood in Halbach's car.
The criminal complaint charging Avery with first-degree intentional homicide, which carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison, also says that a forensic anthropologist determined that fragments of nearly every bone in a woman's body were found on Avery's property.See the full content of this document
