Belling Sues Publisher Over Payment for His Columns

West Bend - Milwaukee radio talk show host Mark Belling on Thursday filed a lawsuit against the publisher of a chain of weekly Milwaukee-area newspapers, saying the publisher failed to pay him for dozens of columns he had written for the publications over more than 18 months.

According to the lawsuit, Belling contracted with Germantown- based Hometown Publications and its owner, Kenneth Ubert, a Town of Richfield resident, in 1997 to write a weekly column for the company's 17 weekly newspapers and be paid $300 for each column.
