Bengals 21 Packers 14

Summary

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER

Deltha O'Neal, cornerback, Bengals: After a first half in which Packer quarterback Brett Favre was picked off once on a pass deflected at the line of scrimmage, O'Neal set a nightmarish second half in motion for the Packers by picking off the first of his two interceptions midway through the third quarter. The Packers were down by just a touchdown and had moved to the Cincinnati 23. Green Bay was picking up confidence with each and every play. Then O'Neal put an end to it. He took an inside coverage on Packer receiver Donald Driver, who was running a go route down the right side. When Favre's pass was slightly under-thrown, O'Neal made a diving catch at the Bengal 2 for a drive-stopping interception. And he wasn't done. The Packers got the ball back and were quickly into Cincinnati territory again when O'Neal picked off another Favre pass intended for Driver. O'Neal also deflected a fourth-quarter pass that was intercepted by linebacker Odell Thurman.
