Whether that edge is surmountable will be decided this week.

For the first time since 1992, the Brewers are playing meaningful games in September. And it's not just September, it's the last week of September.

The Brewers are done with the road. And, some might say, the road has done them in.

After their 7-4 loss on Sunday in Atlanta, the Brewers flew home to begin their season-ending home stand. But after a 3-4 trip in which they easily could have been 6-1, the Brewers finished their road slate at 32-49.

Now, with a 3-game deficit, nothing short of a miracle will suffice.
