Summary


Although Christopher Kimball launched Cook's Illustrated Magazine nearly a quarter century ago, it wasn't until he began hosting public television's "America's Test Kitchen," that the bow-tie- wearing New Englander, who divides his time between Boston and Vermont, became a familiar face to home cooks. The magazine, after all, features drawings rather than photographs.

This fall, Kimball launched a new TV effort, "Cook's Country," following up on the magazine of the same name, and he's coming out with a "Cook's Country Cookbook." He took a break from all of that activity for a telephone interview.
