Five years later, and they still train for floods, tornadoes and riots, natural disasters and man-made catastrophes.

This is the Wisconsin National Guard and its soldiers and airmen, five years after Sept. 11, 2001.

Remember how the events of that day were supposed to change everything? Did they really? Or did most of us go back to our lives, routines, jobs, families, while war echoed far away?
