Chvala Loses Law License; Foti Won't Appeal Sentence

Madison The state Supreme Court on Monday suspended the law license of former state Senate Majority Leader Chuck Chvala (D- Madison), who is serving a nine-month jail sentence for felony corruption.

Also Monday, the attorney for former Assembly Majority Leader Steven Foti (R-Oconomowoc) said Foti has decided to not appeal a 60- day jail sentence and will begin serving it Sunday. Foti pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for having an aide do on-the-job campaigning.
