Summary
Brick by brick, ornament by ornament, Milwaukee's 1895 City Hall is getting ready for its close-up. The project, which started two years ago and is slated to finish by November 2008, is more than half finished and "going very well," said Gary Kulwicki, the city's facilities manager. It's on time and on budget, he said. Some of the steel that holds the Flemish Renaissance Revival landmark together is badly corroded and is being replaced, Kulwicki said. "But some of it is in almost pristine condition, " he said.
