On Christmas Eve, as shoppers hopped from store to store, Santa Claus, a.k.a. Charles Sweet, 66, of Menomonee Falls, was listening to children's wishes for Christmas. This Christmas season was the second one for Sweet to act as Santa Claus at Bayshore Mall. He retired several years ago, and working as the right jolly old elf is one of his part-time jobs. He spoke Saturday to Journal Sentinel reporter Sheila B. Lalwani about Christmas, plans for New Year's Eve (or lack thereof) and whether the polar ice cap is in danger of melting.
