Indianapolis Arkansas' Matt Jones shot up, Akron's Charlie Frye slipped and Auburn's Jason Campbell helped himself despite not breaking a sweat as the quarterback class at the National Football League scouting combine worked out Sunday at the RCA Dome.

A pair of juniors, Utah's Alex Smith (6 feet 4 inches, 217 pounds) and California's Aaron Rodgers (6-2, 223), began and ended the day as the consensus choices among scouts as the top quarterbacks in the draft. Each ran the 40-yard dash in 4.68 seconds but didn't do anything else.
