New Berlin The city's insurance company will not cover taxpayers for any damages related to the Greek Orthodox church lawsuit, the company told the city attorney in a letter last month.

The insurance company, Brookfield-based Cities & Villages Mutual Insurance Co., wrote the city Feb. 7 stating that after a Feb. 1 federal court ruling against the city in the case, it would not be responsible for paying any damages the city is ordered to pay to the church.
