Green Lake Everywhere I looked in town there were welcome notices for the Arrogant Worms, and I thought of course they would be. Only self-assured worms would come to a fishing town on the eve of the season opener and think they'd get away unchewed.

But naturally I had it all wrong. The Arrogant Worms turned out to be a Canadian comedy troupe, a.k.a. the Clowned Princes of Humor, booked for a performance last night at Green Lake's handsome Thrasher Opera House. It's a throwback venue, the kind of opera house that once was common to small towns but is a rarity these days, and a it's busy one.
