As the Racine County Board moves closer to making a decision on how to proceed with a possible $17.3 million jail expansion project, the public is getting another chance to join the debate.

A public hearing on the jail project will be held at 6 tonight at the Community Building of the Caledonia-Mount Pleasant Park, 9614 Northwestern Ave., Caledonia, at a meeting of the county Public Protection and Justice System Committee. The public discussion will immediately follow Sheriff Robert Carlson's presentation of the proposed jail project.
