Doctor to Get Probation for Using Device

Summary


Gerald Dorros, 62, a cardiologist who formerly lived and worked in Milwaukee, has pleaded guilty to a federal misdemeanor for shipping and using experimental medical devices from Argentina without approval from the Food and Drug Administration, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

The stent-graft device was experimental and used by Dorros between 1994 and 2000 to repair aortic aneurysms, federal authorities said.
