Summary
THIS WEEK IN THE NBA
Not only are the Chicago Bulls off to a slow start but late in the week they will embark on their annual "circus trip," while the lions and tigers and bears occupy the United Center. Chicago opens the six-game trip Thursday at Phoenix, and will play the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center on Saturday. "I'm not much of a panic guy," said Bulls coach Scott Skiles. "Early in my life when I had some of my own personal difficulties, I grew up quite a bit and learned not to panic. We'll try to figure out why we're playing the way we are, why when the game is on the line we're not able to step and make big plays." Things don't get any easier for Miami, which will play four of five on the road, including games at New York, Charlotte, Boston and New Jersey. After playing in New York last week, Denver's Carmelo Anthony was asked if he was relieved that he wouldn't have to answer any more questions about the brawl involving the teams last season. "You're going to ask me the same questions when we play the Knicks (Saturday at the Pepsi Center)," Anthony told reporters. The Spurs play at Dallas on Thursday and host Houston on Friday.See the full content of this document
