Madison - The popular Internet site that provides summaries of Wisconsin court actions ranging from felony convictions to speeding tickets has both ruined and saved lives, according to speakers at a hearing Thursday on a bill that would make it harder to see those records.
Rep. Marlin Schneider (D-Wisconsin Rapids) defended his bill to take court records off the Wisconsin Circuit Court Access Web site. Groups representing Wisconsin employers, landlords and newspapers opposed the bill.See the full content of this document
