Matt Mitten, a law professor and director of Marquette's National Sports Law Institute, has been named an arbitrator for the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Mitten is the only U.S. law professor serving as an arbitrator. The court, which is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, is best known in Wisconsin as the court that ruled in favor of Paul Hamm in a dispute over who won the all-around gold medal in gymnastics in the Summer Olympics in Athens in 2004. He spoke with the Journal Sentinel's Don Walker.
