The San Antonio Spurs captured their fourth National Basketball Association championship in nine years by riding their trademark stifling defense to an 83-82 victory against the overmatched Cleveland Cavaliers Thursday night at Quicken Loans Arena. The victory gave San Antonio a 4-0 sweep of the Cavaliers in the championship series and will spur debate about just where coach Gregg Popovich's well-oiled machine ranks among the greatest teams of all time.
