Students Find Voice Through Forensics; Revival Is Helping Central City Pupils Blossom
The junior at Milwaukee's Riverside High School looks the audience in the eye. She knows her facts and expresses them with panache as she explains that the road was not simply used to trade silk but also for the transmission of all goods and knowledge between East and West starting in 500 B.C. "Probably the most remarkable commodity to be carried along the road was religion," Hofmaier notes.
