Deprived of roughly six weeks of valuable prep time in the fall because of an NCAA investigation into his eligibility, Marquette freshman forward Lazar Hayward has spent the early portion of the season playing catch-up.

Although his numbers - 6.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in just under 15 minutes per game - haven't been eye-popping, recent evidence suggests that the 6-foot-6, 205-pound Hayward is coming closer to hitting his stride for 20th-ranked MU (9-2).
