Green Bay When the dust settles, new Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson expects Mike Sherman to be his head coach next season and the two to have a solid working relationship.

Thompson said Saturday, after meeting reporters for the first time since succeeding Sherman as general manager, that he doesn't foresee a change in coaching. Sherman is entering his sixth season as head coach and the final year of a contract that will earn him roughly $3 million.
