Hales Corners Police Seek Charges in Hit-and-Run Accident

Summary

Hales Corners - Police will seek charges with the Milwaukee County district attorney's office against a Muskego woman who was captured after a hit-and-run crash in which a piece of bumper fell off, leaving behind an imprinted vehicle identification number as the driver fled.

Officer Glenn Stritchko said Sunday that an officer took the woman into custody less than two hours after she drove into Waukesha County from the scene of the crash at S. 118th St. and W. Janesville Road. After fleeing, she called her boyfriend, who told her to call police, according to Stritchko. Officers armed with the identification number matching her Chevrolet Cavalier already were looking for her.
