I just returned from the high-crime neighborhood you know, the one where Sheriff David Clarke now sends lone deputies as punishment for criticizing him and then pretends there's nothing wrong with that.

And I took the bus to get there, just like Deputy Michael Schuh has been ordered by Clarke to do. Also like Schuh, I went alone, although I was tempted to take along a newsroom intern as a bullet shield if necessary.
