Days after saying a major review of the process wasn't needed, Milwaukee Common Council President Willie L. Hines Jr. will now appoint a task force to study the way the city grants liquor licenses.
The review comes after the conviction of former Ald. Michael McGee, who repeatedly shook down business owners in his district for cash. In the federal trial, a series of business owners testified that they feared for their license if they did not comply.See the full content of this document
