The 6-8 athletic wing averaged 29.8 points in the five games leading up to his team's loss to Georgetown in the Big East semifinals, almost single-handedly getting the Mountaineers off the bubble and into the tournament.

Jerryd Bayless, Fr., G, Arizona -- He scored an even 20.0 points per game for a Wildcats team that needed every one of them. The 6-3 Bayless also averaged 4.1 assists, making him a threat setting up teammates as well.
