The former chief financial officer for the now-defunct Opportunities Industrialization Center of Greater Milwaukee never intended to stick her employer with a $46,000 bill for cell phones she bought through OIC, her attorney told a federal judge Monday.
U.S. Attorney Steven Biskupic said, however, that Cordelia I. Ekwueme used OIC to get a discount on the 545 phones and start a new business reselling them in Nigeria. She cut a special deal for the Cingular V400 phones Nov. 22 the same day she turned in her resignation at OIC, Biskupic said.See the full content of this document
