Ozaukee Board Rejects Downsizing Referendum

Port Washington A resolution to put a referendum on April's ballot regarding downsizing the Ozaukee County Board was voted down 21-4 Wednesday by supervisors.

The resolution, which was proposed earlier this month by Supervisor Tom Richart, would have put a non-binding advisory referendum on the ballot. It would have asked voters whether the County Board should study and implement "a reasonable reduction" in the size of the 31-member group.
