"It's just hard when you don't have a lot of your great players and even your second-team quarterback isn't playing," said an assistant coach for a recent Rams opponent. "You can imagine what it would be like if Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers were both out."

Four starters are missing from the offensive line, including all- pro tackle Orlando Pace, guards Richie Incognito and Mark Setterstrom and center Brett Romberg. On defense, the missing include end Leonard Little, linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa and cornerback Tye Hill.
