At least for one day, the Green Bay Packers decided to stand pat with the wide receivers they have on their 53-man roster, electing not to sign free agent Jerome Pathon.

On Tuesday, Pathon worked out in front of Packers officials, but at the end of the day no contract was signed and the club was still mulling over the possibility of signing the 29-year-old veteran. No other receiver was in for a workout but the Packers are thought to be considering several other younger prospects in addition to Pathon, who was released from Seattle at the end of training camp.
