An 18-year-old St. Francis man faces more than 80 years in prison after pleading guilty Monday morning to the slaying Feb. 22 of a pregnant woman on W. National Ave.

Jarvis Duke maintained that he didn't fire the shots that killed Shaina Mersman and her fetus at S. 19th St. and W. National Ave. but pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree reckless homicide and a charge of first-degree reckless endangerment of public safety, all as a party to a crime, for the midday shooting.
