Police

Two attempted burglaries and one burglary were reported Jan. 25. A door had severe damage but entry was not gained at Chris' USA Tavern, 724 Milwaukee Ave. Entry also was attempted but not gained at Chug-a-Lugs, 117 W. Chestnut St. Money was stolen after a window was broken and entry was gained to Coach's Sports Bar & Grill, 488 Milwaukee Ave. Damage to the window was $50.

Domestic abuse

A 28-year-old Burlington man was arrested Jan. 30 on allegations of domestic violence after he hit his ex-wife in the 600 block of Madison St.
