Wisconsin continues to have one of the nation's largest gaps in achievement between black and white public school students, with some disparities growing in recent years, according to a national report issued Tuesday.

The report by the National Center for Education Statistics tracked state-by-state performance by black and white students on the 2007 National Assessment of Educational Progress' reading and math assessments. It then compared the results with tests since the early 1990s.
