Racine -- A former teachers union leader, a college educator and a pastor who was appointed to the Racine Unified School Board last year won three-year positions on the board Tuesday night.

Melvin Hargrove, who joined the board in November, Dennis Wiser, who taught math in Racine Unified Schools for nearly three decades, and Pamala Handrow, who has worked for a number of local government agencies and teaches at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, will help lead the state's fourth-largest district.
