In one of the largest libel verdicts in Wisconsin history, a Milwaukee Circuit Court judge Friday awarded attorney Martin Kohler $1.4 million for a scathing series of e-mails sent by a former client.

Mark Inglin, who has spent years sending messages to attorneys and others alleging Kohler to be corrupt, racist and in conspiracy with Circuit Judge David Hansher to manipulate the justice system, now owes Kohler about $2 million. Friday's judgment by Circuit Judge John Franke follows a $617,000 libel verdict from 2001 over similar acts by Inglin against Kohler.
