I've now lived through one immigrant experience that of my Mexican parents and am witnessing my third grand national debate on immigration (1986, 1996 and today).

There's at least one thing distinctly different this time. I don't remember any half-million-person marches for immigrants, such as the one that occurred in Los Angeles recently. In fact, marches have been popping up all over the place, including here.
