We asked ESPN's lead baseball game analyst Joe Morgan if he thought making home-field advantage in the World Series part of the All-Star Game stakes had restored competitive zeal to the game.

"First and foremost, the players decide how the game is going to be played, not someone who says this one is for real," Morgan said during a phone interview last week. "The players decide how they are going to play the game."
