Crime Statistics Show Decline City Follows National Trends, Fbi Reports

Summary


Preliminary data released by the FBI on Monday confirmed what Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn has noted through much of his first year in the city: Crime diminished in 2008.

Nationwide, law enforcement reported a decrease of 2.5% in the number of violent crimes reported in 2008, compared with 2007, according to the agency's data taken from Uniform Crime Reports.
