A freelance photographer who says he was beaten for taking photos of a police raid in 2002 is suing the city and a Milwaukee police officer.
The photographer, David Hollins Jr., 44, of Milwaukee, takes photographs for several publications that serve the city's African- American population, the lawsuit says. On June 23, 2002, Hollins was photographing a police raid at a home in the 2000 block of N. 35th St. from behind crowd-control barriers when he was confronted by officers, the lawsuit says.See the full content of this document
