West Bend A man who sold his family's 150-year-old homestead in Washington County in 1997 to an environmental group in hopes of preserving the land is suing the organization for trying to sell the property to real estate developers.

Maurice Kuenzi filed suit in Washington County Circuit Court against Friends of Wisconsin Preservation Fund Inc., which purchased 100 acres from Kuenzi in 1997 and combined it with another 83 acres to form the Kroehler Homestead Nature Preserve, south of Slinger in the Town of Polk.
