Wisconsin, which has more confirmed cases of swine flu than any other state, now has its first death from the novel H1N1 influenza.

Citing privacy concerns, state and local health officials would say only that the victim was a Milwaukee adult who had "a common underlying medical condition" that made the influenza and its complications deadly.
