When the wild and agile assortment of entertainers takes the stage at the first-ever Jugglefest in Shorewood on Sunday, the master of ceremonies will be none other than Madison native Mark Hayward, a professional "juggler, yo-yoer and cool guy," as he bills himself, and dig this yo-yo champion of the world. Hayward, a veteran of the annual Madfest juggling festival in Madison, on which this is modeled, will showcase his vast talents along with student jugglers, Shorewood alum Marcus Monroe and pros Jason Kollum out of Chicago and the Pretty Bad Jugglers from Madison. Showtime is 1 p.m. at the Shorewood High School Auditorium, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, followed by open juggling bring your own stuff or buy on-site from 2:45 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance and $8 at the door, with proceeds benefiting the Shorewood Recreation Department (call (414) 963-6913). Hayward spoke with Journal Sentinel reporter Annysa Johnson from his Indianapolis home.
