Summary


The first good thing about "The Office," NBC's Americanization of a monster British comedy hit, is that it's not the same old same- old. No laugh track, no lovable lugs, no hugging and it's hard to emphasize this enough no learning.

The second good thing is that it's not "Coupling," the network's thundering flop of last season, another monster British comedy hit with most of the humor wrung out of it and all the vulgarity left in.
