Summary


Seasonal summer weather is on tap for the state today and Thursday, with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures running around 80 degrees. There is a chance for a few showers in central and northern Wisconsin late today and in the southern part of the state Thursday night. Thunderstorms could linger there into Friday before dry conditions move in for the weekend.

Heavy rains plagued areas south of Milwaukee on Monday night from slow-moving thunderstorms. Locations from Lake Geneva in Walworth County to Burlington and Union Grove in Racine County received between 2 and 4 inches of rainfall, which caused some flooding problems late Monday. Flash flood warnings were issued for a few counties, and it is a good time to review what that advisory entails. A flash flood warning is issued when flash flooding is imminent on indicated streams, rivers or localities.
